How did the Knox family make it big?
Seymour Horace Knox 1, who lived from April 1861 until May 1915 in Buffalo, New York, was a businessman. His money was made in five-and-dime shops. He merged with Charles Woolworth and Frank Winfield Woolworth, his cousin’s first cousins. This merger gave rise to the F. W Woolworth Company.
Construction of Knox Farm
Knox Farm was built between 1854 and 1856 on an area of 890 acres, which is equal to 360 hectares. Jams Graham constructed it and used the Greek Revival architectural style.
