Camping Resort Old Forge
Old Forge Camping Resort, a campground that is open all year round in Old Forge (New York) This campground is ideal for those who want to camp, ski, snowmobiling or kayaking. You can enjoy a vacation in the Adirondacks at the campground while you camp in peace in the Adirondack Mountains. There are many accommodations available at The Forge: log cabin rentals and camping, tent sites, cottage rentals, and log cabin rentals.
Each type of accommodation has a picnic table and a fire circle. It is also conveniently located near one the seven heated Restroom and Shower Facilities. All at an affordable price. The Camping Resort is just half a mile from Old Forge’s center. It offers all the amenities you would expect in a campground. You can take the free shuttle bus to Calypso’s Cove and the Enchanted Forest Water Safari.
There are also many souvenir shops and restaurants in Old Forge. The Adirondack campground’s beautiful lake and friendly staff will make your camping experience memorable. These services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations are not required. Camping fees are $7 per night.

Cabins
The Old Forge Camping Resort, upstate New York has 132 log camping units. They are nestled among the trees. One room is available. There is a double bed and a set of single bunks. A ceiling light, 2 outlets, a heater and a bench are all available. A picnic table, fire circle and porch swing are available outside. You will find seven locations with heated toilets and showers throughout the campgrounds.
Nicks Lake Campground
The Nicks Lake Campground can be found just a few minutes away from Old Forge. It is located on the banks of Nick’s Lake. You can enjoy swimming, fishing and bicycling. There are tents, trail sections, picnic sites, tables and fireplaces at the campground. There are also showers, restrooms, a ballfield, a volleyball net and a playground.
Camping site for singing waters
The Singing waters campground operates all year. It is located at the Moose River, where visitors can swim, kayak and canoe. There are 150 campsites available for rent, 75 with full RV hookups, 57 with electricity and water, and 18 sites for tents. You can choose from open or semi-open spaces, or even along the banks of sunny or shaded riversides. Rates start at $25 and go up to $120 per day. You can also find seasonal rates.
Alger Island Campground
Alger Island Campground can be found at 1885 S Shore Rd in Old Forge, New York 13420 United States. Lean-to campsites are available with pit toilets and pit toilets. There are also tent sites with pit toilets and fireplaces. There are also hiking trails and a picnic area. Fourth Lake Day-Use area is the campground headquarters.
Here, permits and registration are issued for Alger Island. The state-owned boat launch is located in Inlet, on Route 28. It can be used to launch larger motorized boats.
You can enjoy the many recreations available such as rowboats, motor boats, and canoes. Anglers can fish for rainbow trout and lake trout as well as landlocked Atlantic salmon. There are miles of state-maintained trails nearby. A hiking trail runs around the island.
Check-in hours are from 2 – 9 p.m. Campers must register at their campsite before 9:00 p.m. the first night. Otherwise, the campsite will be subject to re-rental and all fees forfeited. Check out by 10.00 AM on the day of departure.
Maximum 6 persons per campsite, 2 tents or 1 hard-wheeled camping equipment unit and 1 tent are allowed. A campsite can only accommodate 2 vehicles. Additional vehicles may be required to park in designated areas for an additional fee.
A responsible adult 18 years or older must register and occupy the campsite. Your camping permit may be issued for up to 14 nights. Campgrounds will only allow 14 nights cumulatively between July 1 and Labor Day. You must observe a quiet hour policy. This policy is enforced from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. This policy can be broken and you could be expelled.
Generators can only be used for 5 hours daily and must fall between 9 a.m.-11 a.m., and 4 p.m.-7 p.m. daily. The facility staff may prohibit or limit individual generator use if the generator is too loud. Only fireplaces are allowed for fire-building. Fuel may only be made from dead or down wood. Camping sites are not permitted to use chainsaws. Dead or alive trees cannot be cut down.
PETS
You can allow your dog to be walked if you have proof of current rabies vaccination. This could be a current year’s tag or a certificate from the vet. As long as the dog is under control, campers are allowed to walk them on a six-foot leash. Dogs are not permitted in facilities, beaches, or day-use areas.
